Recommendation: Elders Not Leave Pioneer Home
March 21, 2020 - As COVID-19 cases continue to increase around Alaska, it is recommended that Pioneer Home residents not leave their Pioneer home, as the risk of exposure has risen significantly.

Visitation Closure
March 17, 2020 – To protect the health and safety of Alaska Pioneer Home elders, additional precautions are being put in place. Beginning
on Tuesday, March 17, at 6 p.m., all Pioneer Homes will be closed to
visitors, including family.  Alternate methods for maintaining contact are available.

Pioneer Home Coronavirus Precautions Implemented
March 12, 2020 - The Division of the Alaska Pioneer Homes is continuing to monitor all updates for the coronavirus and following all recommendations from the CDC and Department of Public Health. The Pioneer Homes are implementing preventative precautions to protect the health safety of our elders. Read here.
