Alaska, Oregon and West Virginia were part of a five-year children’s quality demonstration funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) through the Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA).

Goals: Work to improve quality of care for children by -
  • Helping practices implement the patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model.
  • Improving the use of Health Information Technology (HIT.)
  • Encouraging improvement on child-focused quality measures.
