Information on Senior Benefits Error –

Division of Public Assistance recently found some Senior Benefits payments for April
were incorrectly issued. Approximately 3,800 Alaskans who are in the highest
income bracket and receive their benefits via direct deposit were impacted. The
amount of the deposit was $125 instead of the correct amount of $47.
To ensure Senior
Benefit recipients in the effected income bracket receive the correct amount of
benefits for the three month period of April, May and June, the benefits for
May and June will be reduced to $8 each month so recipients receive the correct
