WIC is the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children. This public health program is designed to improve health outcomes and influence lifetime nutrition and health behaviors in targeted, at-risk populations. Nutrition education is the cornerstone of the WIC Program.

Please use our Eligibility Screening Tool to check to see if you may qualify for WIC.
(This is not an application to WIC. You still need to visit your local WIC clinic to apply for WIC benefits.)

Notice regarding new food submissions/product changes:

The Alaska WIC Program is preparing to implement eWIC in our state. We will review all WIC eligible food products that are distributed in Alaska for additions to our eWIC Approved Foods List (APL). We are not reviewing new or changed food products at this time. The 2016 Allowed Foods booklet will remain in effect until we transition to eWIC.

For questions, please contact the WIC Vendor Management Unit at (907) 465-3100, or email wic@alaska.gov.
