WIC Food List

WIC checks are easy to use. You can use them at WIC approved stores statewide. WIC foods are chosen because they contain the nutrients that women, infants, and children need during pregnancy, breastfeeding, infancy, and early childhood.

Examples of WIC foods include:

  • milk
  • eggs
  • cereal
  • juice
  • cheese
  • infant formula
  • peanut butter
  • dried or canned beans
  • fruits and vegetables
  • whole grain breads, brown rice, or tortillas
  • baby food

and for breastfeeding mothers:

  • additional canned fish, milk, cheese, eggs, fruits and vegetables
  • twice as much fruit and vegetable baby food
  • baby food meat
