Between 2000 and 2008, approximately 4 to 6 percent of mothers in Alaska reported having alcoholic drinks during the last three months of pregnancy. In 2008, Alaska’s rate was among the lowest of the 29 states reporting this data, with only 6 states showing lower rates.
