Health Care Sites
Why use the SHARP program?
- Practitioners often have substantial debt-loads.
- Many clinicians seek employment with agencies that offer loan repayment and other incentives.
- The SHARP benefit is tax-free.
- The agency does not incur additional costs for the loan repayment opportunity.
Who is eligible?
The program is open to eligible health-care sites in Health Profession Shortage Areas seeking practitioners in three fields with provider shortages — primary care, dental services and behavioral health.
