Delta Junction Public Health Center
The Delta Junction Public Health Center (located in the Jarvis Office Center next to the State Troopers) provides services to the communities of Delta Junction, Dot Lake, Dry Creek, Fort Greely, Gerstle River, and Healy Lake. The health center is staffed by a Public Health Nurse III and an Office Assistant II.
Public Health Nursing works to support individual as well as community and population health by identifying needs, building capacity, and seeking solutions to identified health concerns/problems in collaboration with community stakeholders and partners. Delta Junction Public Health Center staff provide select preventative clinic services as noted below, and also take an active role in the health of the community at large. In collaboration with community stakeholders and partners, the public health nurse serves on the Local Emergency Planning Committee, participates in the Safe Schools Interagency Group, partners with the City of Delta Junction and Fort Greely on health-related and emergency preparedness activities, and supports/provides health education in the local schools and community.
