Dillingham Public Health Center

About Us

The Dillingham Public Health Center is staffed by Public Health Nurses (PHN III) and an Office Assistant (OA II). We provide services to Dillingham and the Bristol Bay communities listed below:

  • Aleknagik

  • Koliganek
  • Manokotak
  • New Stuyahok
  • Portage Creek
  • Togiak
  • Twin Hills

Dillingham Public Health Nursing is involved with multiple community partners to support health of the Bristol Bay region.  Public Health Nurses work with civic and tribal leaders to evaluate infrastructure for activity and safety such as implementing Safe Routes to Schools, planning for bike paths, improving access to services that are readily available in larger areas.  Our nurses provide health education both in schools and at community events that support healthy lifestyles and positive choices, emergency preparedness, domestic violence awareness, immunizations and disease prevention among others.

Public health nurses also provide confidential screening and treatment for sexually transmitted infections and birth control. Dillingham Public Health center staff work to support individual as well as community and population health to identify needs and to seek solutions with our community partners.
