Craig Public Health Center
The Craig Public Health Center provides services to the following Prince of Wales Island communities:
The health center is staffed by a Public Health Nurse III, a Public Health Nurse II, and an Office Assistant II.
In addition to providing services to clients in our health center, Craig Public Health Nursing is especially involved with the schools in the Prince of Wales communities. Our nurses provide health education both in schools and at extracurricular events all over the island, such as healthy lifestyles, paralytic shellfish poisoning, water and boating safety, emergency preparedness, domestic violence, and “Health Talks,” to name a few. The public health nurses also provide vision, hearing, TB, and developmental screenings in schools and at community events.
