COVID-19 Vaccine
Updated May 13, 2021
The vaccine protects against COVID-19 disease and is one of the most important tools to end the pandemic. Anyone living or working in Alaska age 12 or older can be vaccinated at no cost. COVID-19 vaccines authorized for emergency use are safe and effective.
Ages 12-15 Update
The Pfizer vaccine is available to those 12 years of age and older.
The decision by FDA and CDC to expand and recommend the use of the vaccine among adolescents followed an in-depth review of available safety, immunogenicity, and efficacy data.
