Healthy People 2010

Detailed tables are available for all indicators that we follow in Alaska for these focus areas and include information by variables such as race, education, sex, and age. We have recently updated 1998 Alaska baseline data to 2000 for most indicators. If data for a national indicator is not available for Alaska a comparable indicator is selected as a proxy when possible. For example, we don’t provide data on teen pregnancy rates (Objective 9-x), however we follow teen birth rates as a proxy.

Healthy People 2000

Summary trend data for these focus areas are available for the Healthy People 2000 initiative, inclusive of years 1991 - 2000. For indicators that are associated with racial disparities we provide overall rates and rates by race for Alaska’s most predominant races, white and Alaska Native.
