Alaska’s Breast & Cervical Health Check program (BCHC) ) helps eligible women get breast and cervical health screenings. BCHC enrollees get free mammograms and pap tests. BCHC also pays for diagnostic tests when needed, and helps women get referred for financial support if they need treatment.

Thousands of Alaska women are eligible for a free Pap test and Mammogram.

Women ages 21-64 who meet BCHC income guidelines​​, who do not have insurance, who cannot meet their insurance deductible, or whose insurance does not pay for breast and cervical health screenings may qualify.

Since 1995, BCHC has provided over 148,000 health screening services to over 62,000 Alaskan women. More than 585 cases of breast cancer, 62 cases of cervical cancer, and 4,316 pre-cancerous cervical conditions have been diagnosed.

BCHC is federally funded through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
