February 22 (this Saturday) there will be a Super Saturday event going on in Anchorage.
- This event will be held at the Salvation Army Community Center, at 1701 "C" Street (between "A" and "C", down in the valley between 15th and Fireweed.)
- The event runs from 10 am to 4 pm, and will feature volunteer tax preparation, as well as information tables from various non-profits and government agencies. An American Sign Language interpreter will be available during the event.
- Tax preparation clients should be sure to bring picture IDs for taxpayer and spouse, as well as Social Security cards for everyone to listed on the return. They must have their W-2s and all other income information on hand - volunteers cannot prepare tax returns based on paystubs.
- Taxpayers who have not received their W-2s by now should contact their employer, and if that doesn't help, they should contact IRS at 1-800-829-1040. For more information, see tax topic 154 on www.irs.gov
