In order to have the largest impact on improving outcomes for patients with heart disease and stroke it is crucial to look at systems of care that include the way people access that care, their opportunities for receiving care, insurance coverage for care, and the consistency of the quality of care they receive as they move from acute to primary facilities.
The goal of the Heat Disease and Stroke Treatment and Secondary Prevention Committee is to ensure optimal treatment and secondary prevention for all heart disease and stroke patients.
