Anchorage Pioneer Home celebrates Father's Day with the annual chili cook-off

6/14/19 Anchorage Pioneer Home celebrated Father’s Day with their always popular Iron Chef Competition annual chili cook-off, held Friday, June 14. Five entries from residents and staff were enjoyed by the judges who awarded the win to staff member, Patti Wilkinson. After winning the Iron Chef Competition four times in the past, she will be retiring from her long and dedicated service with the Anchorage home at the end of June. We wish Patti much happiness in her future retirement.

The event was held on the outside patio in warm sunshine with entertainment provided by the Alaska Button Box Gang and the Chugach Mountain Cloggers. Hotdogs and hamburgers were graciously provided by the Mason’s Alpha Lodge #1, along with beans, potato salad, and root beer floats.

Fathers had a chance to win special prizes with a winning raffle ticket!
