The Home partners with the University of Southeast Alaska to provide certified nurse aide training.

The Juneau Pioneer Home provides opportunities for residents to continue to thrive. It is a home where the focus is on people’s abilities, their potential for personal growth, as well as a place where the heart is really the center of the Home.

There are many ways in which volunteers help at the Juneau Pioneer Home. Here are some examples:

• Social Visits
• Organized activity programs
• Assistance with reading
• Community outings & shopping trips
• Adopting one of our flower gardens
• Providing musical entertainment
