August 2012: Highland Games brings performers to Sitka Pioneer Home

The City of Juneau Pipe Band (formerly Stroller White Pipes & Drums) went to Sitka to participate in the Sitka Seafood Festival and Highland Games this past weekend. While there, the band and several young Highland dancers performed for the Sitka Pioneer Home which took place at 1:30 Saturday afternoon.

Nearly 20 residents enjoyed the music and watching the dancers before indulging in their annual ice cream social.

July 2010 - Artist Rie Munoz

Artist Rie Munoz donated 25 of her prints to the Sitka Pioneers' Home. The home's administrative team celebrated the gift with Munoz at a reception held in her honor, July 10, 2009.
