Title V Model Programs Guide and Database: This searchable database was developed with OJJDP funding and was introduced at a national OJJDP conference last week. It provides a comprehensive up-to-date summary of 150 proven delinquency prevention programs.

Information & Services for Victims of Crime

• Victims for Justice has provided services to victims of violent and the survivors of victims of homicide since 1985, including grief support, court accompaniment, outreach to rural Alaska victims, and more. vfj@victimsforjustice.org
• Office for Victims of Crime is under the U.S. Department of Justice. There are links to a number of national sites and resources. Follow the links to Victim Assistance grantees in Alaska for ideas about resources near you.
• National Crime Victim's Research & Treatment Center The National Crime Victims Research and Treatment Center (NCVC) is a division of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. Since 1974 the Faculty and staff of the NCVC have been devoted to achieving a better understanding of the impact of criminal victimization on adults, children and their families.
• The National Organization for Victim Assistance is a private, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization of victim and witness assistance programs and practitioners, criminal justice agencies and professionals, mental health professionals, researchers, former victims and survivors, and others committed to the recognition and implementation of victim rights and services.
• National Center for Victims of Crime is another site for news and resources!

• University of Alaska Anchorage Justice Center has published multiple studies related to R/ED.
• Alaska Native Justice Center provides statewide services to Alaskan Native and American Indians juveniles and adults in the justice system(s).
• Department of Education & Early Development publishes suspension and expulsion data throughout Alaska’s school districts.
• Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention monitors states’ compliance with the federal mandate to reduce R/ED. It provides funding, information and technical assistance to assist states, territories, and tribes in their R/ED reduction activities.
• Office of Children Services’ Tribal State Collaboration Group provides child protective services disproportionality data, Tribal Partner Contact information, and Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) resources.
• Justice Research and Statistics Association provides information about the assessment and evaluation of activities to reduce R/ED.
• Alaska Legal Services publishes an Alaskan Tribal Court Directory, which includes references and contact information to Tribal Courts who have Memorandums of Understanding with the Division of Juvenile Justice for diversion court referrals.
• Coalition for Juvenile Justice is the national coalition of state juvenile justice advisory groups that advocated for legislation to address R/ED beginning in 1987. It provides national training conferences annually on this issue.
• The Rural Alaska Community Action Program (RurAL CAP) operates a resource basket, provides positive youth development in rural Alaska, and it a juvenile justice training and technical assistance provider for Alaskan Tribes seeking assistance with juvenile justice related activities.
• Annie E. Casey Foundation Juvenile Detention Alternatives Initiative provides training and technical assistance to states and localities seeking to reduce R/ED.
• W. Haywood Burns Institute provides training and technical assistance to states and localities seeking to reduce R/ED.

• Center for Sex Offender Management (CSOM) Established in June 1997, CSOM's goal is to enhance public safety by preventing further victimization through improving the management of adult and juvenile sex offenders who are in the community.
