COVID-19 Resources for Alaska's Seniors and Elders

The 2019 Novel Coronavirus, officially called COVID-19, is in the news. The Alaska Division of Public Health is maintaining and updating a very informative website on this subject.

The best thing everyone (providers, direct service workers, recipients, caregivers, natural supports, and more) can do is to practice good hygiene, including frequently washing hands with hot soapy water for at least 20 seconds, staying home when sick, and keeping workspaces clean by disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.

COVID-19 Vaccine for Alaskans 65+

Alaskans 65 years of age and older will be eligible to start scheduling appointments starting at 12 pm on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 by visiting

Appointments will be available for Alaskans 65 years of age and older beginning Monday, January 11, 2021.
