For non-clinical questions related to the COVID-19 outbreak, please contact 2-1-1.
The Division of Public Assistance partners with numerous agencies across the state to deliver services. Following is a brief list of some of our primary partners. Individuals may refer to Public Assistance offices for direct referral to community resources, or to Alaska 2-1-1.
Division of Health Care Services administers payment for covered services under the Medicaid program. Its contractor, HMS (Healthcare Management Solutions, LLC) operates the Medicaid Recipient Helpline.
Division of Senior and Disabilities Services promotes health and well-being for seniors, people with disabilities, and vulnerable adults. Regional Aging and Disability Resource Centers provide additional services to this end.
Alaska Native organizations administer Tribal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families through Native Family Assistance Programs.
Food Bank of Alaska works in partnership with the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP).
Alaska Job Center Network helps clients get jobs, training, and (un)employment services.
Child Support Services Division coordinates compliance and payment/benefit delivery.
Office of Public Advocacy provides legal advocacy and guardianship services to vulnerable Alaskans.
