Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program helps Alaskans identify health risks and cancers early when interventions and treatment are most likely to succeed. Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program establishes contracts with health care providers all across Alaska to perform breast and cervical screenings. Health care providers see Alaska Breast and Cervical Screening Assistance Program eligible patients on a fee for service basis for Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Services and Diagnostic follow up tests if screening results are abnormal.

Types of providers include:

  • Screening Providers — perform women's annual exams
  • Clinical Consultant and Resource Providers — provide specialty services including laboratory, imaging and breast or cervical specialist consultation
