Supported Decision Making for Older Alaskans

Supported Decision-Making Agreements (SDMAs) allow older adults to plan their support and identify who will help them get information, consider options and outcomes, and communicate with others about their decisions. With SDMAs, seniors can get commitments from friends, family members, professionals, and other trusted people to help them understand their choices. The resources on this page can be used to find out more about supported decision-making and how to use the agreement template which is available under Alaska law to plan for supports.
